X-Men Phoenix Saga Production Cel and Background - ID: oct22017

An original production background from the Marvel Studios animated series, "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring D'Ken's starship amidst a gorgeous rendering of space, the hand-painted and multi-layered background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled "The Phoenix Saga, Part IV: The Starjammers" which aired on September 8,1994. Measuring 10.55"x24" overall, with the image itself measuring 10"x21", the background is in very good condition with some wear to edges and tears in all layers near the lower left corner.
